Best of 2018: 20 Must-See Projects for Your Home
It’s the last day of 2018 and that means it’s time for our “best of Remodelaholic” post for this year! (If you want to see some of our other years, go here for 2021, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014) We decided to count down our top 20-ish posts a little differently this year and highlight some of the best of the best based on the different categories of posts we share here: videos, building plans, printables, roundups, Get This Look, etc. We’d love to hear what YOUR favorite Remodelaholic projects were, and what you have in the works for 2019.

We and our contributor team put a lot of work into some great videos this year over on our YouTube channel — and the most popular one was this brilliantly clever double-duty ladder chair designed and built by Saws on Skates. Here’s the video, and go here to get the printable building plan.

Top Downloaded Building Plan: Farmhouse Side Table
When we saw this versatile and simple X farmhouse side table featured in Nesting in Grace‘s living room, we fell in love. A Piece of Rainbow so generously drew up the building plans, which were our top downloaded building plan for the year.

It’s a perfect addition to any wall or gallery wall, not to mention a super easy and affordable gift for a wedding, housewarming, or party host.

By our estimation, it’s the most wonderful day of the year: the first day of school! The updated custom infographic style first day of school photo signs are perfect for an all-in-one shot to help you remember the important info (plus there are 4 other styles included as well)

We turned an old existing door from flat and plain into a rustic wooden barn door in a style similar to our beloved Dutch barn door baby gate.
