Our Houses

We’ve remodeled 6 homes since we started this blog, so if you’re looking for remodeled home ideas, here’s where to start!

Birch House

This 1960’s ranch rambler remodel features a remodeled galley kitchen, exposed vaulted ceiling beams (and exposed ceiling joists in the basement), new hardwood flooring, a renovated pink bathroom, a blue bathroom remodel and a few walls taken out or slightly moved to open up the floor plan. This rambler basement remodel has also been completely redone with new slim LED ceiling lights, renovated stairs to fix uneven treads, and a full basement bathroom addition.

Jordan House

The Jordan House is a remodeled 1978 rambler ranch. The original space was very choppy, but with a few key changes the space is open and comfortable.  Featuring new luxury vinyl plank flooring, a renovated floor plan, new kitchen and firepalce mantel and a spacious backyard with covered patio dining area which we love to hang out in.

Canyon House

The Canyon House was a much different remodel, because we were creating a basement apartment at my parents’ 1970’s walkout basement.  We replaced flooring, added a kitchen, updated the bathroom vanity to a double sink and turned a family room into a bedroom and storage — plus did a whole lot of work in the backyard!

Park House

The Park House was our early 2000’s builder basic home remodel.  We updated the some flooring, built-in bookshelves and cabinets for storage, and added trim, board and batten, and interior columns for architectural interest. Oh, and we *didn’t* paint the kitchen cabinets (!), however we did update them.

Downing House

The Downing House is a 1980’s bungalow home remodel. For such a small space we actually made a lot of small but important changes.  We opened a large dividing wall, moved 3 different closets a few doorways.  We replaced the flooring, added crown molding, updated the bathroom, and renovated the kitchen.

See the before pictures here and all of the projects below.

Logan House

The Logan House is a 1904 cottage remodel. It was the place where we learned a bit of everything, bought our very first tools, recycled creatively, and fell in love with remodeling. We updated a lot, saving where possible (we were college students after all) , The spaces including bathrooms, bedrooms, installing a half bath, a kitchen remodel and flooring.
