DIY Paper Ornament Templates
I made a bunch of paper Christmas ornaments a few years back, and I love the affordability and ease of folded paper ornaments.
These 3D printable Christmas decorations would also be adorable hanging from a garland, on a mantel, or in a window surrounded by strands of lights, too, whether you’re celebrating a holiday or just looking for some fun winter decorations.
The bright colors and patterns give a modern vibe to some traditional geometric and curvy ornament shapes. Grab your girlfriends and have a craft day where everyone can go home with a set of new ornaments!
We partnered with Canon to design these beautiful printable ornaments for you — they printed up beautifully on our new Canon TS9521C crafting printer! Our designer did an amazing job and the assembly is pretty straightforward and labeled, but we put together a short video for you to show the process, too:

Geometric Printable Ornaments
Get the 3D Paper Ornaments Template – Printable Pack
All you’ll need is the 9-page printable ornament template pack (download above or here in the shop), some glue, a bit of thin crafting wire or string, and some pompoms or bells. Cut out the designs using scissors or a craft knife, and start assembling!
We’ve provided a few patterns in the printable ornament pack, and these 3D paper ornament templates are designed to be printed on the backside of your favorite patterned paper.
If you’d like additional patterns, you can also use our templates and the great selection of patterned papers in the Canon Creative Park! (Select Scrapbook, then Parts, and then Pattern Papers.) The TS9521C prints all the patterns so nicely, and you can print your own patterned paper to use for any crafts you’d like!
The patterned 3D geometric gem-style shapes are beautiful — I’m sure there’s a name for that shape, so if you know it, please leave me a comment because it’s bugging me that I can’t think of it…
And the curvy 3D beaded baubles are so classic, and such easy printable Christmas decorations! Hang them alone or string them together like this, and add a pompom, bead, or jingle bell in the center for holiday perfection. They even twirl! The photo shows just 3 of the 9 bauble shapes we’ve provided in the printable ornament templates.
My favorite are the geometric paper snowglobe scenes — they take a little bit more cutting and gluing, but isn’t the adorable finished product worth it! There’s both a hexagon and a diamond shape to choose from, with wintry scenery inside. No one will believe you made your own snow globe ornaments!
